okay, so these are like the easiest cookies in the world to make! I like to make them with the funfetti cake mix and you can frost them or just eat them plain. Then, mom & I made a variation of these that was AWESOME...you should try it:
German Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
1 box German Chocolate Cake Mix (with pudding)
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs, slightly beaten
- Combine all ingredients; blend well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool on sheet 1 minute, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
So we thought the raisins sounded a little "ify" in this recipe, so we left them out. If you try it with them in, let us know how it turns out. I think an excellent addition would be to replace the raisins with coconut (that would add to the German Chocolate Cake flavor). We were going to try it, but Lance was having none of that...so we just added extra chocolate chips...you can't go wrong with that. But seriously they were so good and EASY! Gotta love that!
